Chris Sargeant - Named as Assistant Technical Director
Congratulations to Chris Sargeant who has accepted the position of MUFC Assistant Technical Director!
Chris will assist Lee in all areas and do his best to give Lee some time to spread out a little. Chris is a loyal Mountain member and has been coaching with the Club for six years. This appointment is well deserved and we know he will shine it up a little! After all he is a recent CSA National Champion’s Assistant Coach!!!
2016 Intake Team Coaches Appointed
MUFC is very pleased to announce the appointments of our U13 Intake Team coaches for 2016. Craig Ogilvie, who has previously led our 1998 Boys, will assume the Head Coach position with the 2004 Boys. BCSA High Performance Player Selections - May 2015
Mountain United FC congratulates the following players on their selection to the BC Soccer High Performance Program Camps in May. MUFC Announces new Technical Director
We are very pleased to announce that Lee Tregonning will be Mountain United FC’s new Technical Director. The Club received applications from a large number of quality candidates and Lee was selected from a short list of excellent prospective TD’s.
Lee is a long time Mountain coach dating back to the Club’s Y-League roots. His skill set and understanding of the Club will serve him well going forward as he guides MUFC into the next phase in it’s evolution. We feel he is a perfect fit for our Club and welcome him him into his new role as Technical Director, congratulations Lee!

Frank Ciaccia will be leaving Mountain United FC to assume a new position with the Vancouver Whitecaps. As Residency Recruitment Officer, Frank will be responsible for the identification and recruitment of domestic and international players for the Whitecaps Residency and Pre-Residency Programs. The MUFC Board congratulates Frank on his placement with the Whitecaps, we recognize this is a positive move and a great opportunity for him but we are very sad to see him leave our Club.
A key player in the formation of the BCSPL League, Frank has been more than instrumental in creating and leading one of the League’s Premier Clubs. Frank’s professionalism and dedication is infectious, our players, club, and the BCSPL League are all the better for his efforts.
Congratulations Frank, we can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for our Club. All the best to you!

Lee Tregonning and Chris Sargeant will be taking on additional duties this Fall as they have been named Assistant Coaches to the SFU Women’s Team by Head Coach, Annie Hamel. Once again, the quality of coaches at MUFC are being recognized with these appointments. We wish Lee and Chris the very best in their new assignment while they continue to guide their respective MUFC teams. 2014 Intake Teams - Coaches Appointed
Mountain United FC is very pleased to announce Chris Rowley & Steve Kindel as our 2014 - U13 Intake Team Coaches.
Chris Rowley
Chris Rowley will take charge of the Girls. Chris is a former Assistant Coach with the Club and we welcome him back. He has coached locally with NVFC, Europa Academy and the schools PASS Program along with delivering SAQ sessions for Excel Performance. Chris has also coached in England for Rochdale FC’s Centre of Excellence and is a certified personal trainer. He holds an FA Level 1 Coaching badge and is pursuing the BCSA/CSA certificates.
Steve Kindel
For the Boys, Steve Kindel take up the Head Coach position. Steve has had a distinguished career as a professional player including 11 years with the Vancouver Whitecaps and has represented Canada at the U20, U23 and Men’s Team levels. He is also an experienced coach and has acquired the CSA B-National Certificate. Steve is the current Technical Director at North Vancouver FC.
