Mountain United FC 2020 - U13 Intake Teams (2008-born) Evaluations
Mountain United FC is pleased to announce a series of evaluations for selection to our 2020 - U13 Intake Teams. Coaches for the teams are: BOYS: Ross Kenny and GIRLS: Graham Thompson. Our current MUFC coaching lineup will be assisting in the Evaluation process.
Players born in the 2008 year are eligible for selection. *Please note, players born in the 2009 year may also be considered for evaluation but only if identified and endorsed by MUFC’s Technical Director through scouting and recommendation in advance. Teams will participate in an exhibition season from April to June which includes training twice per week, several friendlies and two tournaments before taking a summer break. Teams will then play in the BCSPL Premier League Phase Two from September to November 2020. Following a re-evaluation process in November and winter break, the teams will move on to the full U13 BCSPL season in February 2021.
The BCSPL Premier League is the high performance league with eight regional Clubs. It represents the highest level of youth soccer in the Province. Players aspiring to play in this league required commitment and dedication to the program. At Mountain United FC, professional coaches are in place to enable players to reach their full potential in a player-centric development model. The U13 Intake Teams will train twice per week during the Spring exhibition schedule but will progress to three times per week in September. If you are a motivated player ready to commit yourself to this level, please register for our evaluations. For more information on the BCSPL Intake Teams process, please refer to this FAQ prepared by BC Soccer: BCSPL Entry Level Player Evaluation FAQ

Upon registration, players will be placed into the Boys or Girls Open camps. If it is necessary to have more than one Open Session, we will balance the camps by volume and position in order to maximize assessment opportunities and players will be notified via e-mail. Only selected players will return for the Invitational Camps the first of which is Monday February 17th. Further Invitational camp(s) and a Final session will conclude the evaluation process.
