Coach Bios

David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience both as a player and as a coach. He grew up in North Vancouver playing at the highest youth level, both Selects (HPL) & with the Vancouver Whitecaps Y-League, where they finished as high as 4th place in the North American Championships and trialing with European clubs such as Schalke 04 and Dynamo Kiev. He played 3 years at the University of New Brunswick before being signed by a club in Germany, where he experienced 5 years of playing at the semi-pro level.

Once he returned home to Canada and began coaching in Vancouver, David helped his old high school, Argyle, win back to back provincial finals. He started coaching at MUFC in 2017 and has had great success, most recently helping coach our MUFC ‘02 boys to a provincial championship and 4th at Nationals.

He is currently the Assistant Coach for Capilano University Men’s Team along with coaching at MUFC and with the Whitecaps Prospects.

David has his Canada Soccer Association National B License part 1, is a CSA Youth License holder, holds his BC Soccer Technical Director Diploma, and has his Talent ID level 1.3, UEFA C license, goalkeeping level 1.3, and Children’s level 1.2 from the Scottish Football Association. He is continuing to complete more coaching licenses in the near future and hopes to become a UEFA Pro License holder, as well as a CSA National A license holder in the future.
